Lady Wildcats continue to roll

The Guntersville Lady Wildcat basketball team continued their winning ways Tuesday night by defending the home court against the Lady Knights of Arab. The Lady Cats won with a score of 37-33.
Guntersville took the lead early and never looked back, outscoring Arab in all four quarters.
As a team, the Cats shot 27.8 percent on field goals, 18.8 percent on three pointers, and 76.9 percent on free throws.
Kylie Moore led the team in scoring by picking up 14 points.
Over the holiday break, Guntersville defeated Briarwood Christian 48-33, beat Plainview 41-35, and picked up the teams first loss against Spain Park 31-41.
The Lady Cats will head to DAR this Friday with the game scheduled at 6pm and then travel to Albertville on Monday.
In celebration of the opening of construction on new hatchery and administration buildings at the Claude Peteet Mariculture Center in Gulf Shores, Gov. Robert Bentley, fourth from right, joined in the ground-breaking ceremony.
