Over 800 people turned out at Chorba-Lee Stadium as the Guntersville Athletic Booster Club held the first ever “Meet the Wildcats” event Friday August 13th..
During the event, young wildcat fans could have their face painted, participate in a football toss, and have their picture taken with Wiley.
Booster Club members were on hand to offer fans all the latest 2010 Wildcat merchandise, including T-shits and yard signs to help show the communities support of GHS athletics.
All of the Pee-wee football teams and cheerleaders were introduced on the field and afterwards the pee-wee cheerleaders did a dance for the crowd. All of Guntersville’s football teams and cheerleaders from JV to Varsity were also introduced, along with new members of the coaching staff. The cheerleaders also performed cheers with the girls from their Mini Me Clinic.
The Booster Club felt the event was a great success and that it will hopefully become a staple of Guntersville Wildcat traditions in years to come.
The Wildcats invite everyone come out next Thursday to see the GHS Wildcats battle county rival Boaz @ 7:00 p.m.
The booster club will continue to sell t-shirts and yard signs at all Varsity home games. The t-shirts come in youth sizes and run through an adult 3x. There are several designs for both shirts and yard signs and they are $10.00 a piece.
