
United Way of Marshall Countyhas announced its 2012 board officers and members.Newly elected board officers include: President, Laura Casey, an Albertville volunteer; Vice President, Kevin Hawk, Crye-Leike Realtors; Treasurer, Susan Tully, Citizens Bank & Trust; and Secretary, Clint Maze, Burke, Beuoy & Maze. Ted McCreless, Sand Mountain Broadcasting Company and Malanta Knowles, Paragon Picture Gallery,are new Board of Director members.
Returning board members include: Rodney Edmondson, McLaughlin & Edmondson; Kirk Clark, Mitchell Grocery; Chris Clay, Clay Irrigation; Steve Davis, bpi media group; Carol Evans, Marshall County Schools; Adam Pierce, Weathers Furniture; Jeannie Courington, Albertville volunteer; Randy Jones, Nationwide Insurance; and Judy Miller, Marshall County Legislative Office.
Steven Knowles of Ameriprise, who served two terms, rolled off United Way’s Board of Directors in December.
Board members are chosen based on their proven leadership in their respective fields as well as within the community. With the newest additions, United Way’s 2012 Board will consist of 15 members representing Marshall County.
“United Way’s Board of Directors is filled with dedicated people who are passionate about helping their community,” said Jeannie Lyle, executive director of United Way of Marshall County. “They are the heart of United Way and we value their expertise and guidance to help make us one of the most effective and efficient United Ways in the state. In particular, United Way has benefited from the tremendous leadership of Rodney Edmondson, our immediate past president. Rodney has given countless hours to help United Way continue to improve and grow. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to give a big thank you to Rodney and all our retiring members.”
For more than 40 years, United Way of Marshall County has helped enrich community life by addressing critical issues. Volunteers and donors research the needs of the community and develop strategies for assisting people who need it most, including children, families, and individuals. United Way of Marshall County provides funding for 22 partner agencies and programs that ensure the efficient use of donor dollars.
