Art on the Lake exhibits applications - 51st Annual Art on the Lake is now accepting applications for original art and crafts exhibits for 2012. Event is on Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, 2012 at the Guntersville Rec Center in Guntersville, Alabama. Deadline for submission is April 1. Hopeful Hearts Dinner - Join us and bring a friend to Hospice of Marshall County’s Hopeful Hearts Dinner. The event is a casual evening of fun, food and fellowship designed to provide encouragement for those who are living with a loss through death or divorce.The event will be held on Thursday, February 9th from 5:30–7:00 p.m. at the Hospice of Marshall County Community Room located at 408 Martling Road in Albertville. 75th Annual Guntersville Chamber Banquet - The Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce will host the 75th Annual Banquet on Friday, February 24 at the Guntersville Town Hall. The social hour will be from 6-7pm and the Dinner will begin at 7:00pm. This years keynote speaker will be Bill Graham. Tickets will be sold at $50 each. WBS Pride and Prejudice tickets on sale - Patron Tickets for The Whole Backstage Theatre’s production of Pride and Prejudice are now available. General admission opens on the 23rd of January. The show opens on Friday, Feb.2 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 12 & Thursday, Feb. 16- Sunday, Feb.19. Tickets are $14 for students and seniors and $16 for adults.

Tai Chi classes being offered - Marshall Medical Centers North Therapy Plus Fitness on Tuesdays and Thursday evening from 6:45 to 7:45 and on Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 9:00. You will need to be a member of Therapy Plus to participate. This program is certified by the Arthritis Foundation and was developed by Dr. Paul Lam. It uses Sun-style Tai Chi routines that are safe and easy to learn, suitable for every fitness level and may help you reduce stress, increase balance and flexibility and important to your overall wellness.
