• Travel Lecture Series—Scotland - Rev. Bill Winters, Rector of the Church of the Epiphany and his wife, Rita will present, "Scotland and the Spirituality of Celtic Christianity" on May 17 at 1pm. Celtic theology is Trinitarian, personal and evangelical. Rev. Winters will talk about sacred places, organization of monasteries starting with St. Columba’s monastery on Iona, spreading in the 7th century to the Picts of Scotland during the sub-Roman period. This is not a theology lesson, but a pictorial story of the spread of Christianity. $5
• RSVP Lecture Forum Series - Russian Cultural Heritage - Rev. Jennifer Riddle, Assistant Rector of the Church of the Epiphany and her father Frank Riddle will tell about a mission trip to Germany to help build an interdenominational seminary, May 19 at 2pm. Included in the talk will be their side trip to St. Petersburg’s cathedrals and museums.
• Estate Planning - Make sure your wishes are understood, wills and trusts, basic taxes you need to be aware of, considerations in planning for incapacity, and charitable planning will be covered by Janna Carroll, May 14 at 1pm. $5
• Genealogy— 4 sessions, Fridays from 9:30-11:30 a.m., starting May 7, $20. Students will learn how to use the Ancestry.com on-line research site. The Family Tree Maker program is available on all computers for genealogy documentation. The first part of each class will be instruction and the last part will be doing actual research. Students need to bring family information they want to research. A basic knowledge of genealogy is required.
• Beginning Excel - 3 Tuesdays, 9-11:30am, starting May 4, $15. Book $25, can be used for beg, Int and Adv Excel. What is Excel? Workbooks and worksheet layouts, setting row and column size, entering test in cells, formatting cells; usings formulas. Flash memory required.
• Where is it—How to Store & Find Stuff on my Computer, Flash Drive and Digital Camera: May 6, Thurs 9-11:30am, $5 Come learn how to take your digital photos from your camera, store them on the computer, be able to find them again, and then send them to a friend. Bring to class, your camera with pictures on it, any cables needed to transfer photos, or your memory card and a flash drive.
• Send/Receive Pictures by Email: May 13, Thurs 9-11:30am, $5. Course explains how to send and receive pictures; sending the correct resolution, saving pictures, difference between pictures inside an email and those attached to an email. If you have a web mail account, bring email account and password information.
