
For those of you who have waited to do your taxes until the right moment, now is the time. From now until April 12 the Albertville RSVP tax site at the Albertville Rec Center will have new hours. They will be open Monday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Starting March 16, the Guntersville Tax site at the Guntersville Rec Center will have new hours. They will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 9am to 2pm.
Marshall County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program will have IRS trained volunteers at the following locations in the county to prepare returns and file returns electronically. This is a free service to taxpayers of all ages sponsored in part by United Way of Marshall County and will be offered through April 15th with no appointment necessary:
Albertville Rec Center – Monday and Friday from 10am - 2pm
Arab Rec Center - Tuesday from 1 – 6pm and Wednesday from 9am – 1pm
Boaz Old Water Board - Monday and Tuesday from 9am - 3pm
Guntersville Rec Center - Tuesday and Thursday from 10am - 4pm, until March 16, then 9am-2pm
Scottsboro Rec Com – Tuesday from 10am – 5pm
Bring your last year's returns, social security cards for all family members, this year's tax packet received in the mail, written proof of last year’s stimulus payment amount, all W-2's and 1099's and any other tax information. All individual returns are welcome – itemize, investments, self-employment, tips, social security. All tax preparation is strictly confidential.
