
Police are still searching for the suspect in a bank robbery that took place early Tuesday morning at the Peoples Bank on Brindlee Mountain Parkway in Arab.
According to reports, the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. A man wearing a blue striped shirt, jeans and a mask entered the bank, showed a knife to a teller and demanded money.
The masked bandit was described as a dark complected white man, with bushy eyebrows and dark hair, standing about 5'7, weighing around 180 pounds.
The robber left on foot after the incident.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen but there were no injuries.
The Arab police, the Marshall County Sheriff's Department and a K-9 Unit from the Guntersville Police Department searched a wooded area between the bank and Main Street where the mask, shirt and gloves were found.
